Description
Needlepoint kit for cushion or stool top
Designed by William Morris' successor Henry Dearle in 1896 for Compton Hall in Wolverhampton it is one of our most successful designs. The Compton collection is a fabulous Beth Russell interpretation of the Morris & Co wallpaper and fabric of the same name. It consists of this cushion, a chair seat, rug and miniature. To achieve the same soft, dark background colour as the original Beth has blended 3 different colours. Still in production today the fabric can be found at the beautiful Liberty store in London. All these designs are available in a dark blue colourway.
