Wool

Beth Russell only uses Appleton crewel and tapestry wools for her kits. They have been spun and dyed in England to traditional colour recipes for over 150 years, using pure new British wool. Appleton wools are hard wearing and extremely durable and should last for generations; they are used for many types of restoration projects. The complete range consists of 419 colours and is available in either crewel (2-ply) or in tapestry (4-ply). As well as extra background wool, we can also supply the Appleton shade card and handmade cord and tassels. Please see the FAQs for extending a background to cover a larger item such as a chair seat.
