Needlepoint kit for wall hanging or firescreen
The needlepoint kit for the Woodland wall hanging was inspired by John Henry Dearle's original drawing for the Greenery tapestry which he created in 1892. The design imitates William Morris' style in the trees and that of Philip Webb in the animals.
The original tapestry was woven at Merton Abbey using wool, silk and mohair. Beth has changed the oak, chestnut and pear trees for an apple tree in this adaptation.
