Needlepoint kit for cushion
This very simple design appeared in my book Victorian Needlepoint (now Arts and Crafts Needlepoint). Inspired by a William De Morgan tile and printed on rug canvas (7/8 gauge) it is quick and satisfying to stitch. It would make a perfect project for someone wondering if needlepoint is for them.
The stitched piece makes a pretty scatter cushion. The cushion shown here is stitched in cross stitch, using one thread of Appletons tapestry wool.
