New kit: Fox in the Woods

I have been working for some time on a new hanging inspired by Henry Dearle's first tapestry design produced by Moris and Co. While pondering on the perfect colours to show him at his best, I became rather fond of the fox and envied his eagerness to run through the leafy summery woods.

Contrary to our usual practice of completing the hanging and then choosing which sections make the best smaller kits, I couldn't wait to show him to you. It also seems the perfect time of year to start a project that is going to brighten up many a bleak winter's night.

When finished it will make a stunning cushion or elegant stool top. I hope to complete a companion piece showing two pheasants that have been startled by the fox early in the new year.
