Birth of a new design - part 8

I am still wrestling with the small leaves. For the moment I have left my new 'beech or birch' leaves and am trying the sycamore leaves where I do have more stitches to play with.

I want everything to have a pleasing shape, also each part of the design has to 'make sense' which is sometimes difficult with the restrictions imposed by sloping stitches.

I have also come back to the problem of colours (too many to be precise) and now I have introduced some more greens.

The underside of one of the peacock wings was worrying me and I have tried a different colour scheme - sometimes I have to view it many times before deciding if it is all right or not.

Lots of work to be done I fear.
